One of the oldest forms of burial is mausoleum entombment. Dating back to 353 BC, entombment has long been preferred throughout the centuries, but often mistakenly thought of as too expensive.
Today's families are choosing mausoleum entombment in the Harmony Mausoleums as an alternative to ground burial because ofthe affordable cost. The purchase of a mausoleum crypt includes the space, which is the vault, and bronze memorial all packaged into one price, as opposed to ground burial where these elements (grave, vault and memorial) must be purchased separately.
The Harmony Mausoleum crypts are both clean and dry. Many people have an aversion to being interred in the ground, so this is a popular alternative to inground burial. The convenience in locating the loved one's space while visiting is an added benefit of entombment. Mausoleums allow for the maximum number of entombments in a minimum amount of space so it is an efficient use of cemetery lands.
The Harmony Mausoleum Crypt spaces are constructed of steel reinforced concrete, poured in place, so they are incredibly strong. Crypts are designed to hold casketed remains. Following a casket entombment, the crypt is sealed and the front shutter is secured in place. The front is constructed of solid granite and the personalized bronze memorial attaches.
